Nuevo video: Espectacular tormenta de arena golpea a Phoenix

PHOENIX, 6 de julio.- Una descomunal tormenta de arena cubrió la zona metropolitana de Phoenix y redujo drásticamente la visibilidad en el área.

El virtual muro de arena se desplazó por el desierto hacia el sur de la ciudad y descendió en el valle al anochecer. La televisora KSAZ-TV informó que el fenómeno tenía al parecer una extensión aproximada de 80 kilómetros (50 millas).

El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional dijo que al mismo tiempo había vientos intensos con ráfagas de al menos 100 kilómetros por hora (60 millas por hora) que se dirigían al noroeste y pegaban en Phoenix, así como en las ciudades de Avondale, Tempe y Scottsdale. Más de una docena de comunidades en la zona estuvieron en alerta de tormenta eléctrica hasta las 23:00 horas.

La Administración Federal de Aviación informó en su cibersitio que prohibió despegues de vuelos en aeropuertos de Las Vegas o Los Angeles hasta las 21:00 horas debido a la escasa visibilidad en la zona de Phoenix.

That is the only way they can make sure they are not issuing driver's license to those who overstayed their visas and became illegals. The blame here lies at the feet of employers and lawyers who delay filing extension till the last moment. USCIS gives H1 extension in usually 3-4 months. If everyone filed 6 months ahead of expiry, there is no problem. What if DMV refuses to renew the license if I-94/H1 is extended for 1 year (mostly in the case of H1 extension beyond 6th year) but is not stamped on your passport. This happened with me. DMV officer insisted on visa stamped on my passport and he was not ready to accept the I-797 form which I was showing.
