Bryan ISD Trustees Approves More Projects & Hires Principal | WTAW
Bryan school board members, meeting Monday, gave the green light to another pair of six-digit maintenance projects. Both are scheduled for completion before the start of the new school year.
Trustees approved spending up to $253,400 dollars to install new heating and air conditioning on the Lamar campus. The total cost is $477,566. That’s more than $57,000 over the estimate of $420,000. This is replacing a system with parts that are 20 to 36 years old.
Meantime, the price to replace the roof at the Bryan High School fieldhouse is less than the estimate of $450,000 dollars. The approved bid was $280,300.
In personnel actions, there’s a new principal at Davila Middle School. Scott Martindale moves north from an assistant principal position at Consolidated High School. Martindale replaces Josh Garcia, who took a position in Fort Worth.
Matt Harbin was hired as the Rudder High School head baseball coach. Harbin has served as assistant head coach/pitching coach at Monterey High School in Lubbock since 2010.
Anteneshia Lindsey was hired as the Rudder High School head girls track coach. Lindsey was a member of the 2009 National Champion Texas A&M Track and Field team.
